Introduction
Every believer who intends to make an impact in this generation must be on fire for God. A cold Christian is a defeated Christian vulnerable for problems. A lukewarm believer is a powerless believer. But a man or woman who carries the fresh fire of the Holy Ghost is a walking terror to the kingdom of darkness.
The Bible says in Hebrews 12:29 that our God is a consuming fire. That means fire is in His nature. Fire is in His character. And when you carry His Spirit, you are supposed to carry His fire. The problem today is that many children of God have allowed the fire to die down.
Through sin, prayerlessness, through worldliness, through wrong friends, through compromise, and through neglect of the Word, the fire that once burned brightly has reduced to coldness. But God is saying to you today, it is not too late. Arise and stir up your dying fire.
Elijah thought he was the only one left but God told him there were seven thousand who had not bowed to Baal. The fire is still available. The altar is still standing. Heaven is still willing to send down fresh fire upon your life. When Elijah prayed on Mount Carmel, he did not beg for fire.
He prayed with boldness and with specificity. He said, let it be known that thou art God. And the fire of the LORD fell. It consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, the dust, and licked up the water in the trench. That is what Holy Ghost fire does.
It does not just touch the surface. It goes deeper. It burns everything that does not belong to Him. That is what these prayer points are designed to achieve in your life today. When you open your mouth in faith and cry out for fresh fire, heaven responds to your cry.
The enemy trembles at your prayers. The MFM-style of prayers and the words of God are very intense to activate the fresh of the Holy Ghost. If you feel drained, distracted, or spiritually cold, this is the time to cry out for fresh fire of the Holy Ghost.
As you pray, believe that God will rekindle your passion, restore your hunger for His presence, and empower you with renewed strength. So as you pray today, pray with desperation. Pray with hunger. Pray like a man whose life depends on the fire of God because it does.
Pray like a woman who refuses to live another day on yesterday’s anointing. Pray until something breaks in the spirit. Pray until the fire falls. The fire is not far from you. It is as close as your next sincere cry to God. Open your mouth, lift your voice, and let the fire fall.
May every spiritual dryness disappear in your life and may divine fire fall afresh upon you. Arise and pray!
