The “back to sender” principle is not about personal revenge, but about activating God’s justice system. When Balaam tried to curse Israel, God turned the curse into a blessing (Numbers 23:8). You have been given authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). This authority is not arrogance, it is covenant privilege. When you pray “back to sender,” you are not begging; you are enforcing the victory of Calvary.
The blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). While Abel’s blood cried for vengeance, Jesus’ blood cries for mercy and protection over you. When you plead the blood, every evil assignment loses its legal right to operate against you.

What Does “Back to Sender” Mean?
“Back to sender” is a biblical principle of divine justice where God returns evil attacks to those who initiated them. It’s not revenge, it’s enforcing God’s protective covenant over His children. When the enemy sends arrows of sickness, poverty, failure, or death against you, God has given you authority to command those arrows to return to their source.
Psalm 7:15-16, “He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. This scripture reveals a spiritual law: whatever trap the enemy sets for God’s children becomes their own destruction.
Haman built gallows for Mordecai but was hanged on them himself (Esther 7:10). Daniel’s enemies prepared the lions’ den for him but were devoured in it (Daniel 6:24). This is divine reversal. Proverbs 26:27, “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.”
God’s justice system ensures that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). When you pray “back to sender,” you activate this divine protection upon your life. Praying “back to sender” doesn’t mean you hate your enemies. You can love them and still enforce spiritual boundaries.
You’re not asking God to destroy people out of spite, you’re asking Him to stop evil operations against your life. Romans 12:19, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” You’re not taking revenge. You’re letting God handle it His way. And His way includes returning evil to those who orchestrate it.
