Introduction
Before you sleep tonight, you must understand something very important: the night is not an ordinary time. The night is a spiritual season. It is a time when the physical body rests, but the spiritual realm becomes very active.
Many battles are fought at night. Many destinies are attacked at night. Many decisions in the spirit are taken while men are asleep.
The Bible says in Matthew 13:25, “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” This means that sleep is not just rest, it is also a moment of attacks if you are not spiritually prepared.
There are people who go to bed and wake up with problems they never had before. There are people who sleep peacefully but wake up with fear, heaviness, strange dreams, or confusion.
There are people whose blessings are tampered with in the night. Why? Because they went to sleep without spiritual covering.
Sleep is good. Sleep is necessary. But sleep without prayer is dangerous. When you close your eyes, you are entering into a realm where you are not fully in control physically. That is why you must hand over your life to God before you sleep.
You must commit your spirit, your body, and your environment into His hands. The Bible says in Psalm 4:8, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” That means safety in the night is not automatic, it is God that makes it happen.
Some people depend on doors, gate, CCTV, security guards, or physical protection. But listen carefully: there are battles that physical security cannot stop. There are arrows that do not pass through doors. There are attacks that happen in dreams. There are manipulations that take place in the spirit.
That is why before you sleep, you must pray. Prayer before sleep is not a routine, it is your spiritual defense system. It is you handing over your life to God and saying, “Lord, while I sleep, take control. While I rest, fight for me. While I am unconscious physically, let me be secured spiritually.”
The Bible says in Psalm 121:4, “He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” That means even when you are sleeping, God is awake. He is watching. He is defending. He is preserving.
But you must activate that protection through prayer. Many people take night prayers lightly. Some don’t even pray at all. Some just say a quick “Thank you Lord” and sleep off. But serious believers understand that night time is a moment to hand over your sleep to God.
Many are so reluctant to pray, But the same person that is so tired to pray, but when a call of trasaction comes in, the person will eagerly talk with the person.
When you pray before you sleep, you cancel evil dreams, you block spiritual attacks, you secure your destiny, you invite angelic protection, you disconnect from every evil operation.
Prayer before sleep is like locking your spiritual door. If you don’t pray, you are sleeping spiritually exposed to evil spirit. If you pray, you are sleeping under divine security.
There are also blessings in the night. Not every night is for attack. some nights are for divine visitation. God speaks in the night. God reveals mysteries in the night. God gives direction in the night.
The Bible says in Job 33:15-16, “In a dream, in a vision of the night… then he openeth the ears of men…” So when you pray before you sleep, you are not only blocking the enemy, you are also inviting God.
You are saying: “Lord, speak to me tonight.” “Lord, guide me tonight.” “Lord, visit me tonight.”
Beloved, never go to bed casually again. Make it a habit: Before you sleep, pray for protection. Before you sleep, cover yourself with the blood of Jesus. Before you sleep, commit your life into God’s hands.
Let your bed become an altar. Let your night become a place of encounter. Let your sleep become a season of victory.
Because when you pray before sleep, you don’t just sleep, you sleep in power, you sleep in protection, and you wake up in victory.
Tonight will not be like other nights. As you pray before you sleep, heaven will respond. And you will wake up with testimonies.
Prophetic Declaration Before Sleep
I declare that this night is blessed. I am hidden under the shadow of the Almighty. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. My sleep is peaceful, my life is secured, and my destiny is protected. I will wake up with joy, strength, and divine testimonies.
Tonight, I sleep under divine covering. No evil shall touch me, no arrow shall locate me. The Lord is my defender, my protector, and my shield. I will not be afraid of the terror by night. I shall wake up in joy, strength, and testimony.
Section 1: Canceling Night Attacks Through Prayer

PRAYER POINTS
1. O Lord my God, as I lay down to sleep tonight, arise in Your power and cover me with Your divine presence, let Your angels surround my bed, my room, and my environment, and let no evil come near me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every power assigned to attack me in the night, whether through dreams, shadows, or spiritual manipulation, I command you to be arrested and destroyed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Father Lord, let Your pillar of fire stand as a wall of protection around me, my family, and everything that belongs to me, let every evil arrow fired in the night return back to sender, in the name of Jesus.
4. Any witchcraft activity, monitoring spirit, or satanic gathering assigned against my life while I sleep, scatter by fire, be exposed and destroyed, in the name of Jesus.
5. O God arise and make my sleeping place a danger zone for every evil spirit, let any power that comes near me at night receive instant judgment, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every evil covenant operating against my life in the night season, break by the blood of Jesus, I disconnect myself from every satanic agreement, in the name of Jesus.
7. I cover my body, soul, and spirit with the blood of Jesus, and I decree that no evil hand will touch me, no evil voice will call my name, and no evil presence will locate me, in the name of Jesus.
8. Every spirit of fear, oppression, or anxiety assigned to trouble my sleep, I bind and cast you out, I receive peace and rest from the Lord, in the name of Jesus.
9. O Lord, let Your angels carry out warfare on my behalf tonight, fight every hidden battle, silence every unseen enemy, and give me victory while I sleep, in the name of Jesus.
10. Every door of my life opened to night attacks, I close you now by the power in the blood of Jesus, and I seal my life with divine protection, in the name of Jesus.
11. Any evil dream programmed to manipulate my destiny, I cancel it before it manifests, every negative dream is nullified by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
12. I decree that my sleep shall not be a platform for satanic oppression, but a time of divine encounter, restoration, and empowerment, in the name of Jesus.
13. Every arrow of sickness, death, bad news, or affliction assigned to enter my life through the night, backfire now and return to sender, in the name of Jesus.
14. O Lord, preserve my life, preserve my destiny, and let no evil exchange take place while I sleep, I refuse to be a victim of spiritual robbery, in the name of Jesus.
16. Any evil presence assigned to monitor me or report my progress to the kingdom of darkness, be blinded and destroyed by fire, in the name of Jesus.
17. I declare that I will not be chased, attacked, or defeated in my dreams, I receive power to overcome every dream attack and to wake up in victory, in the name of Jesus.
18. Father Lord, let Your peace overshadow me tonight, remove every trouble from my heart, and grant me sweet and undisturbed sleep, in the name of Jesus.
19. Every strange voice calling me, every evil hand touching me, every shadow following me in the dream, be cut off and destroyed, in the name of Jesus.
20. I command every evil altar speaking against my night to catch fire and be destroyed, let their powers over my life be broken forever, in the name of Jesus.
