You may be wondering why I still need to pray before making decisions when God has given me the brain and wisdom to judge matters. You need to pray well before making decisions because, as the Bible says, there is a way that seems right but leads to destruction (Proverbs 14:12)
Not every decision can be made using logic, because most of the time things don’t appear as they are in reality; you need a spiritual lens to look at people, and events in life to be able to make the best decision that will benefit your future.
Moreover, God said in His Word that He knows the thoughts He has towards you, that is, He, as your Creator, knows exactly what you will become, and He knows what’s best for you; that is why you need to know the mind of God when making decisions (Jeremiah 29:11)
Isaiah 30:21 says when you go, you shall hear a voice behind you saying, ‘ This is the way, walk there in,
How then can you hear the voice of God? First, it is by establishing and maintaining a good relationship with God, through prayers and studying the Word of God.
To know the mind of God, you need to commit yourself to studying the Word of God. The more you read the Word of God, the more you will understand the mind of God concerning your life (2 Timothy 2:15)
And as you pray in line with His will, He will begin to speak into your heart and send people to you to confirm His will to you.
